taking place relative to development. Tom Johnson Construction has
started moving dirt at his development on the north service road
of Highway 70 at Cotton Road. Kienstra Development has agreed to
pay for the road going to the Duckett Creek waste treatment plant
off Highway T. It will probably be ready next year. Kienstra’s
development will have 2700 units in St. Charles County in the Wentzville
School District. When the Duckett Creek plant is complete the City
will connect its existing waste treatment plant to it.
There
will be five to six weeks construction this summer or fall on the
bridge over Peruque Creek. The City is talking to MODOT about upgrading
the old overpass on Highway 70 in addition to construction of a
new overpass.
There
is a development planned by Ray and Peggy Shatz on the north service
road west of Selec Trucks, which is approximately 150 acres in size.
They will have their own waste treatment plant and use District
#2 water. Polier Outdoor Advertising is interested in locating in
Foristell and several restaurants also.
Other

County Fine Arts Council listing several activities that they are
sponsoring, and a survey on what type of activities that people

Program: Dr. Mark Porter, District Superintendent
of the Wright City School District gave us an update on what the
District is doing to plan for the influx of new students that are
coming into the area currently, and in the future. There are 27
to 29 subdivisions already under construction, with 7600 homes projected
in Lincoln and Warren Counties. Growth is 17% - 20% per year. Long
range planning is being done to insure that the District has the
facilities, teachers, curriculum, and advanced technological equipment
needed to furnish the highest quality education for the students,
and how to pay for it. They are doing studies currently on what
grade level new schools are needed the most at present, elementary
or high school. Surveys are being conducted. Results should be available
in 60 days. They want to put a bond issue on the November election
ballot.

Ruggeri’s Ristorante at 12:00 noon. The speaker will be Rich
Chrismer, St. Charles County Clerk/Elections who will talk about
